Brooklyn Lodge No. 454 Cleveland Ohio

A Father Installs A Son

Possibly the highlight of 1937 was Wor. Bro. Richmond's foresight in arranging for an official visit by Brooklyn Lodge, No. 454, Cleveland, on May 15th. Most Worshipful Bro. Dargavel was present which prompted the Brooklyn brethren to style the day as an official reception to the Grand Master and Toronto Day. You must pardon the repetition, but mention must be made of the pleasurable fact that this visit was the first of a yearly interchange between Brooklyn and St. George Lodges which still flourishes to this day.  The Installation ceremonies on December 3, 1937 ushered in the Diamond Jubilee Year of St. George lodge. For the first time in the fifty nine year history of the lodge a father installed his son as the Worshipful Master. Wor. Bro. W. J. Damp Jr. conferred the honour on Bro. W. F. Damp with the assistance of Most Worshipful Bro. R. B. Dargavel.
The visitors on this occasion included brethren from Brooklyn and Euclid Lodges, Cleveland, Ohio.
