Many Masons say that it is difficult to put into words exactly what is Freemasonry. It is a different experience for every man. But, the tenets and principles of Freemasonry are universal. They are: Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.

Every Brother speaks of how Freemasonry influenced his life in many different ways, and how it changes you. It may even be said that Freemasonry refines you. It does this by doing something that is difficult these days. Freemasonry provides an outlet for men of any faith or ethnicity to be on the level with each other. Your vocation doesn't matter. Freemasons view each other as equals.

The principles and tenets of Freemasonry make us strive to have more patience and greater tolerance toward our fellow man. It teaches us that it takes perseverance to achieve your goals. Most of all, it teaches us to gain understanding. The greatest knowledge you can acquire is knowledge of yourself.
