There is much information available on-line about Freemasonry. Some of it is factual, some of it is folklore, and some of it is (to put it kindly) pure fantasy. So, please be aware of the source for any information you find about the Craft.
Freemasonry is not - as many believe - a secret fraternity. It is far too well known to be 'secret'. Rather, Freemasonry is a fraternity with some secrets. Most of those secrets are about how Freemasons identify each other. Sorry. You won't find those secrets revealed here.
As you search for information keep in mind that no one person, group, or body speaks on behalf of Freemasonry. Each Grand Lodge governs the lodges within its jurisdiction. And there is no national or international group that governs the Grand Lodges.
